 tract Purchasing and Subcontracting-La Jolla CA \n\nDate: 05/07/2012 11:0
 0 AM EDT\nDuration: 14 Hours \n\nDescription: \nIn the regulatory hierarc
hy of a government contract, a subcontract is subject to additional requi
rements imposed on the prime contract by Federal Law as provided by the F
ederal Acquisition Regulations and Agency Supplements. These additional r
equirements cover all aspects of the contractual relationship including t
he decision to buy, selection of the supplier, pricing the contract, term
s of the contract, quality, payments and even completion and closeout. Ho
w you approach subcontracting (prime or sub) and how you resolve issues t
hat arise during performance depends not only on what you are (a seller o
r a buyer; industry representative or Government official; contract admin
istrator or lawyer), but also on what you know and how well you understan
d the unique demands of the subcontract process. With knowledge, you can
guide the process with minimum problems. The focus of this program is on
the effective management and administration of subcontracts and complex p
urchase orders. The benefits of attendance will extend across the full li
fe phase of the subcontract: from the presolicitation phase to final paym
ent. Topics covered will provide guidance on development and management i
ncluding: Finding suppliers and competition Teaming agreements and data r
ights Make or buy issues Effective flowdown of prime clauses Tailoring te
