 ntial fallout from the Eurozone crisis extends beyond Europe and poses a 
 serious threat to the global economy.  While a large part of the responsi
 bility for the causes of and resolution for the crisis lie with European 
 governments and institutions, the International Monetary Fund has a disti
 nct role as the international financial institution with a relevant globa
 l mandate. Not withstanding years of efforts aimed at increasing transpar
 ency, understanding of the IMF among the legal and financial community th
 e IMF remains relatively limited. The objective of the webcast is to disc
 uss key aspects of the IMF's legal and institutional mandate, relate the 
 discussion to the regional and country level crisis in Europe and to cons
